Hey folks, this is how you fix the random crashing. This is probably what is causing the random crashing on console too, because you can manually set the sample rate on the PS4/Xbox1 and later. Tsk.Windows must be set to use a 48000hz sample rate for Bioshock to work correctly. I just hope they get a move on and repair it, it's in a shoddy state. fix the glitches and the crashes and we're good. Oh! and I know some people don't like the director movies? While I agree they are not comments per se, they are FASCINATING to watch. (for example, I can read the Bathosphere map clearly now, the lava running through the tubes as Hephaestus looks MUCH better.) Small things, but nice to see and more immersive. The benefit of this remaster is that a lot of the textures got a decent rework. (sighs) Not as bad as Mass Effect 3, but it's up there and it kinda ruined Infinite for me.)

Apologies, I know it's personal taste, but Elizabeth at the end and how they tried to use her "power" to sort out the self imposed mess at the end was hideous. (can't change the godawful ending though, or how they seemed determined to try and ruin Bioshock 1 and 2 with it. Ours has had NO change made to it as it was already the "definitive" version at the moment for infinite.

I'll include below a video of the crappy options, mouse issues and rebinding crashes:īut hey at least it was free. I seriously expected better here from 2K, I mean buggy and poorly optimised games are par for the course for PC gaming but it's been a long time since I've played a game that crashes consistently enough for me drop it till someone can fix this pile of nonsense code. Other things that aren't so good is the intense flickering of shadows (which I think can be fixed by enabling V-Sync, but indeed an issue carried over from the original) and sometimes the game will occasionally hang when opening up menus.

That and every time it does crash it takes the display driver out with it and causes absolute havoc on my system. Loaded up and crashed again at the same spot so on a whim I disabled ULMB and enabled G-Sync which got me to the next level before my next crash which is the point at which I left it, cause I wasn't really in the mood to troubleshoot another buggy Bioshock port. So I got as far as the "One Two Punch" splicer before my first crash which apparently is good cause many people can't even make it that far. Now for the other issues, mouse acceleration which has been bugged from the begining is still buggered nine years later, as well as the game not recognising when you're not using the gamepad. That's all we get, the original had everything you can think of and here we get six and not even an FOV slider.
